Rigas - Let's Get GoneRigas is otherwise known as Henrik Von Euler, front-man for Swedish electro-poppers Parken, and possibly the busiest musician in all of Scandinavia. Juggling two separate projects would be more than enough work for most people, but Henrik doesn’t stop there, having also taken on everything from remixing to production, which has led to him having a decade spanning discography that is as long as my arm. And apparently, that kind of obnoxious ambition is good for a lot more than inspiring murderous levels of jealousy in me, because his music just so happens to be really fucking good.

Tonite is taken from the recent album Let’s Get Gone, which finally eeked its way into existence a few months back, after hitting a delay or two along the way. It’s not exactly worlds removed from the material he pens with Parken, but the 80s influences are far more concentrated here, making damn good use of the same star-gazing synth lines that fellow Swedes The Sound of Arrows call their stock in trade. Plus, as far as pop music accessibility goes, it certainly doesn’t hurt that he’s actually singing in English for a change. At least not for us dim-witted Americans.

If you’re on board, I suggest snagging yourself a copy of the full album right here, via the fine folks over at Amazon.
