I think you may have single handedly unraveled my 'Smurfz' project, Alan. Thanks. Universal was about to pay me $300 million for the rights to my 'Smurfz With Attitude' trilogy, and then they read - 'Guess what, Hollywood: Making classic children’s characters “street” was a bad idea that died with the 90’s, and more people mourned Hitler passing' - and, for some unknown reason, actually took good advice, bringing a quick end to our negotiations.

I think they're still trying to revamp the Bambi franchise, though. Maybe I can get in on that. Apparently the idea is to explore the psychological wounds suffered when watching his mother gunned down by hunters (a la Bruce Wayne), and to move to location to South Central or Brooklyn. I'm excited to see what ideas come out of that Hollywood think tank. Oh, RZA's doing the soundtrack.

Where is the Super Paper Mario review. The story line is amazing and all the mustache burns make the game help to prove that drinking is a great mix with video games.

Thank you, man. I'm glad you liked the review; I agree with your 'stunner' comment, and wanted the review to reflect the film's true nature, especially because so many people were still calling it 'that Adam Sandler film.'

Thanks a lot, Vee! I am still surprised at the feedback this got. And the fact you've actually forwarded the review on to people you know is appreciated greatly.

I am glad so many of my friends are on the same wavelength with this film, because the pundits that spend far too much time dissecting it for deep and meaningful messages leave me scratching my head in disbelief. Then again, if I actually knew one of them, maybe I could ask them what the hell that's all about. :)

Thanks again, man.

I have read more than many reviews on this film, and you have managed to eloquently summarize the gist of this movie better than any of the so-called pros...

The academics complain that it lacks character development, the historians complain that its too generous in its fabrications...the casual moviegoers complain of the overdone visual effects...

none of them get it.

thanks alan, for providing an accessible summary that i can share with more than a handful of people i know.
